The existing 120 sq.m. country house in Mt. Pelion – Milies village was practically brought down and reconstructed from scratch. Due to building regulations, the outline was held the same. New concrete frame was constructed and a new house was created in the existing perimeter. The small had to cover the needs of a large family – therefore, the design had to maintain a carefull balance.
Taking full account of every little bit of available space, the house was redesigned to include a mezzanine space for the children, a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a guest room and a centrally located living room.
The staircase leading to the mezzanine level is also used as a supplementary storage area and an architectural centerpiece.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of July 20th, 2018.
