Holiday Inn Athens, 4* is located in Attica road, very close to the airport and it provides 200 different rooms. Further to our 2018 Open Lobby renovation, an implementation of the IHG “Open Lobby Concept”, it was requested to plan a renovation focused on Public Spaces, Conference Halls and Guest Rooms. More specifically we undertook the total redesign of all 5 conference halls, the soft renovation of all gym spaces, main restaurant and lobby bar as well as the total redesign of two new room types and typical hallway.

The whole renovation project was planned so as to be implemented while the hotel remained in full operation in a very short time to avoid guest disturbance. All proposals had to take IHG Handbook strategy into consideration. We therefore chose to maintain several hotel features and make all necessary transformations and additions to provide a full new style. New carpentry works and ceiling transformations were done.

Lighting design was of critical importance as it was a key element for all lobby spaces. The project was published in several digital and printed media.

Design lasted 3 months. Construction and implementation was carried out in 2,5 months in parallel to the hotel’s full operation.
