The famous Casino Loutraki aims for a gradual full-scale renovation in order to change its clientelle target group and achieving a new character. We undertook the preliminary architectural study as a first step to realization. The Casino is fully operational the whole year through; the renovation has to be realized in a very short time maintaining the electromechanical infrastructure. This results to a very limited height clearance in which all sound and security systems have to remain intact. The design strategy was aligned with all height and installation restriction. The Vortex, as a central idea was realized by combining stretch ceilings of different colour and finish – lighting design in curvy lines revolves around the eye of the Vortex.

The preliminary architectural study area was limited to approximately 1.100 sq.m. and was conducted in 2021.
